Turkey dinner, California love, and the things we're up to.

For starters, Thanksgiving was okay but definitely not as good as any of the other 19 Thanksgiving's that i've experienced. Family is just where it's at. No substitutes. It doesn't work out too well. Well, it works out. Just not as well. Everyone went to Vegas and saw The Lion King, and had girls nights, and had yummy breakfasts and the best thanksgiving meal you can find. My Nana is such an amazing cook, and now that I live on my own, and miss out on her meals, I realize that. Miss you Nana! I think next year when I DEFINITELY go home for thanksgiving, i'll be forcing her to give me thanksgiving dinner 101. I want to perfect it the way she does. (:

And since I went to someone elses house, I don't get the wonderful turkey dinner leftovers. That's another favorite of mine. But nope! Don't get to have that either. So last night for dinner Scott and I went to The Half Moon pub down the street. We waited like 45 minutes before getting seated! But that's what the bar is for I guess haha. Yummy food, and definitely had left overs. We ordered a ton of food because we were so hungry. I knew we weren't going to finish all 3 courses.

This morning had the start of snow. Of course our car windshield was frozen so Scott did his morning routine of scraping it off while I sat inside the car with the heat on. I'm a baby. When I got home I drew on the car with my fingers because I was inspired by the backseat window as I was getting out of my car. I think BChieze is the culprit because she was sitting in the back of my car for black friday. And for the record, black friday should be experienced in the states, or even better.. California. SO MUCH BETTER. Even though I got a really sweet deal on some lego's for my brother. But still...not the same. ): Of course nothing is the same, and I really don't expect it to be anyways. Just things like this make me really homesick.

Tonight I'm gonna go watch Harry Potter with BChieze and Jordan. 2nd time, but I really don't mind (:

Well that's really all that's on my mind these days. Home, and Snow, and doing things with friends to make my day not so bad. It's kinda working. But today is going to be filled with coffee's and playing the sims while Penny sleeps next to my chair. She's so cute and loves her christmas toy I bought for her yesterday. Of course i'm the nice mommy and gave her some of her christmas present early. I can't help myself.

And last night Scott and I decided the thing about California that we miss most at this point is the fact you can get GOOD orange chicken and good chinese food pretty much anywhere in southern california, and for a fraction of the price that we pay here. What a shame.

Love, Kelsey.
