Hello everybody! I think I have somewhat of a following? Well from where I left off, I basically went to work, watched the third harry potter movie and I made Scott some spinach stuffed tortellini with spaghetti sauce and some home made smoothies. They were so yum. That's my substitute for a sweet snack when I start to get to the time of the month where I feel fat. I go on a health kick like it's actually gonna make me feel skinny. Kinda works, kinda doesn't. It doesn't when I put my jeans on at least. And today I did the same exact thing after work but instead of cooking or blending anything, we ordered chinese food take out followed with a huge bowl of chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. My kind of dessert! Scott had his bowl of chocolate ice cream with a can of pineapple chunks and caramel syrup. Personally, I find that a little gross and revolting. But that's just me. Some people out there, (obviously) like that kind of weird stuff. I really can't blame him though, I eat top ramen with hot cheetos and a little mayonnaise. Don't knock it til you try it! Even though, I did not try that pineapple caramel mess. And that of course was all enjoyed while watching the fourth harry potter movie. Every night we watch the next movie, it's kind of what I look forward to as the day goes on. Always have that dang harry potter on my mind. It's seriously what I think about as I am sweeping and cleaning at work.
When we woke up I got to drive Scott around for like 20 minutes, waited in a ridiculous line, just to find out we couldnt get on base for the next 15 minutes or whatever. They are having so many exercises lately, and briefing us at work on fire safety and what to do in case some terrorist comes in while we are working. That makes me feel SO safe! I guess Al Queda threatened to bomb England, Italy, Germany, and France as a terrorist threat to the US. That's really awesome. Makes me love being in this country even more. We have active duty in Humvee's outside every gate staring us down as we drive past them with their huge automatic guns. It's been going on for almost two weeks now. I really just want this mess to go away. Makes me feel so uncomfortable. I always imagine the huge trucks in front of me on base just blowing up out of nowhere and I think about how my friends and family can't even know until like hours later because they live in america with all the other lucky people on the normal time zones. So yes, after all the driving around, I ended up taking him back home and he had his friend take him to his class.
I then watched and got caught up on my pointless tv shows and waited for Scott to get back home. Then for some reason I had the hugest urge in the world to clean my whole apartment, cleaning every spec of dust I could find. Which by the way was super rewarding because now that I feel like everything is clean I just feel so much happier. I get a little febreeze crazy when I clean also. It's like the spray that makes everything new and fresh smelling again. And you gotta have that when you have a puppy in your household. I also managed to do one whole load, or half a load I should say of laundry!!! I even took a picture because I was so proud. It only took the machine a whole entire day to do it. After cleaning, I cleaned my eyebrows. I'm trying to do the whole save our money thing, so instead of waxing them, I decided to pluck them myself. Even though I suck at it. Funniest thing happened too. Scott decided to step in and help me pluck my eyebrows. I found it hysterical and "attempted" to take a picture of that. Sucky quality, hilarious picture. And that's pretty much it as far as interesting goes in my days in good ole' Mildenhall, England.
Love, Kelsey
Kels - waiting to hear about where you guys are planning your next vacation :) I've heard Germany is great for Christmas - I'll send you a link. Did Scott ever get his passport worked out? Wishing you happy travels and a break from the monotony of work and more work and sitting around (even tho it all sounds very fun and romantic to me :)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't really discussed our next vacation yet. It was to go back home to the states in December, but I think we are deciding to save our money and go somewhere when the snow goes away. Germany does sound fun, I know we are going to visit there at some point in our stay over here. And no! He always had something wrong. But he knows exactly what to do, and made a new appointment. So fingers crossed for this time!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's nice when I am not working. I am starting to run out of things to write about in my day to day life. I have somewhat of a very boring life, haha.
